Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data AlphaNode Technologies ("we", "us") collects when you use Meo Studio (the website, apps, API and related services, together the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. If you have any question, email us at sales@alphanodetech.com.
1. Who we are
Meo Studio is operated by AlphaNode Technologies (www.alphanodetech.com). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at sales@alphanodetech.com or through the contact page on our website.
2. Data we collect
- Account details: your email address, your name and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive the data described in section 3 instead of a password.
- Email confirmation: whether and when you confirmed your email address.
- Your content: photos, video clips and other files you upload, the parts of reference clips you select, your prompts and scripts, chats with our assistants (Toto, the Meo Director and Juliet on the contact page), and the images and videos you create.
- Upload confirmations: each time you upload, a record of the rights-and-consent confirmation you gave (the wording version, date and time, your account, a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser type), and any extra confirmation you give for a possible public figure.
- Screening results: whether our automated check thought an upload may show a well-known person, with its confidence and any suggested name.
- Payments: card and PayPal payments are handled by PayPal; we receive the payment status, the amount, the plan and your PayPal email, never your card number. For UPI payments in India we receive the amount and the 12-digit UPI reference number you enter so we can match your payment.
- Credits, offers and referrals: your plan, credit balance and history, the offers shown to you and redeemed, your personal referral code, the number of visits and sign-ups through your link, and, if you joined through someone's link, which account referred you.
- Your page (portfolio): if you create a page, the name, headline, bio, location, services, links and work you add to it. When you publish it, everything on it is public at its web address and may be listed in our creators directory; unpublish or delete it any time. Messages that visitors send you through your page (their name, email and message) are delivered to you and kept with your page.
- Templates and earnings: templates you sell (title, script, format and sample video), your creator name and picture, sales and earnings, and, when you withdraw, the payout details you give us (account holder name and your PayPal email, UPI ID or bank account details), used only to pay you and kept as long as tax law requires.
- Messages: your name, email and what you write when you contact us or when a chat is passed to our team.
- Technical data: a sign-in cookie, a one-way hash of your IP address (used to limit free offers and prevent abuse), your browser type, and basic server logs (time, page requested, response).
- Ad measurement: if you arrive from one of our Google ads, Google Ads may set a cookie so we can count whether the visit led to a sign-up or purchase. We do not use it to show you personalised ads. In the UK, the EU and Switzerland it is only set if you agree.
3. Google sign-in and Google user data
You can create an account or sign in with your Google account. When you do, Google shares the following with us, and only after you agree on Google's consent screen:
- your name,
- your email address and whether Google has verified it,
- your profile picture, and
- your Google account identifier (a number that lets us recognise you the next time you sign in).
How we use it: only to create and secure your Meo Studio account, to sign you in, to show your name and picture in your account, and to send you service emails about your account (for example payment receipts and important notices). We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google service, and we do not post anything to your Google account.
Sharing: we do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with anyone except the hosting provider that stores our database (Railway) and as required by law. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models.
Limited Use: Meo Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access: you can disconnect Meo Studio at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you can ask us to delete your account and the Google data we hold by emailing sales@alphanodetech.com.
4. How we use your data and our legal bases
- To provide the Service (contract): run your account, create your images and videos, apply your credits, process payments and deliver what you asked for.
- To keep the Service safe and fair (legitimate interests and legal obligations): confirm email addresses, block temporary inboxes, limit free offers to one per person and per network, screen uploads for resemblance to well-known people, keep consent records, enforce our Terms and answer complaints from rights holders.
- To communicate with you (contract and legitimate interests): send account, payment and security emails, notifications in your account, and answers to your messages.
- Your page (contract): show your published page to the public and deliver messages from visitors to you.
- Offers (legitimate interests, or consent where required): tell you about offers on Meo Studio in your account and by email. Every offer email has an unsubscribe link.
- To measure and improve (legitimate interests, or consent where required): count which ads bring sign-ups, and understand usage in aggregate.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to target ads at you.
5. Who processes data for us
- AI generation providers (Higgsfield, BytePlus and Alibaba Cloud) receive your uploads, selected clip parts and prompts to create your results. BytePlus also runs the automated public-figure screening on a few still frames of each upload, and the language model behind our assistants. Apart from the opt-in Free zone described in section 5A, we do not take part in any program that lets these providers use your data to train their models, and nothing you make with paid models is shared for training.
- Modal: GPU hosting for our self-hosted models.
- Pexels: when you search for reference clips, your search words are sent to Pexels.
- PayPal: payments.
- Resend: sending our emails (your email address and the email content).
- Railway: hosting and database.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose it, and measuring our ads.
Each provider may only use the data to provide its service to us. We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
5A. The Free zone (free try videos)
The Free zone at /free-zone lets signed-in users make a limited number of free videos with ByteDance's Seedance 1.5 Pro model. It is free because the model runs under BytePlus's data authorization programme. In return, BytePlus (a ByteDance company) may store and use the prompts you type in the Free zone and the videos made from them to train and improve its AI models, and data already shared this way cannot be withdrawn from BytePlus later.
- It is opt-in: you must tick a consent box each time before a free video is made, and we keep a record of that consent with the creation.
- It is text only: the Free zone does not accept photos, videos or other uploads. Please do not type real people's names, personal details or anything confidential into a Free zone prompt.
- Only the prompt and the resulting video are sent; your name, email and account details are not.
- Free zone videos are shown in our public Free zone gallery (with the prompt, without your name) unless you untick sharing before making one; you can remove a video from the gallery at any time.
- Everything else on Meo Studio (all paid models, uploads, the film studio, Marketing Studio and assistants) is never sent to a model under this programme.
- You can delete Free zone videos from your account like any other creation; this removes our copy, but cannot undo what BytePlus already received.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, Singapore and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Uploaded photos and clips, and the parts cut from them, are deleted automatically after 72 hours.
- Upload confirmations, consent records and screening results (not the files themselves) are kept for as long as your account exists plus 3 years, as evidence in case of a claim or complaint.
- Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Your account, creations and chats stay until you delete them or ask us to delete your account.
- Gallery videos are shown only if you turned sharing on, and are removed when you turn it off.
- Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
8. Cookies
- Sign-in cookie (necessary): keeps you signed in.
- Referral cookie (necessary for the referral programme): remembers, for 30 days, whose invite link brought you, so the right person gets credit when you sign up.
- Consent and preference storage: remembers your cookie choice.
- Google Ads conversion cookie (optional where consent is required): see section 2.
9. Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, store passwords only as salted hashes, keep IP addresses only as one-way hashes, limit access to personal data to the people who need it, and delete uploads automatically. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, or US state laws such as California's), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to or restrict some uses, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email sales@alphanodetech.com from your account email. We reply within 30 days and never charge for a reasonable request. Deleting your account removes your account data and creations, except records we must keep by law or as evidence as described above.
11. Children
Meo Studio is only for people aged 18 or over (or the age of majority where they live). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for important changes, tell you in your account or by email.
