Reinventing ourselves to bring the cost down
AI video is still expensive to make, and most of that cost is computing power. We treat the price you pay as a design problem, not a fixed number, and we keep rebuilding Meo Studio to lower it:
- Straight from the makers. We source models directly from the companies that build them wherever we can, instead of through resellers, and pass the savings on.
- Our own GPUs for open models. Open models such as LTX and Wan run on graphics processors we manage ourselves, which lets us offer budget options at around half the usual price, with an automatic fallback so your job still finishes.
- Drafts before finals. Try ideas as low-cost drafts and pay for the full-quality version only when the shot is right.
- The right model for the job. Not every shot needs the most expensive model. Meo Studio routes simple jobs to efficient models and saves the premium ones for where they show.
- Fewer wasted renders. Automatic quality checks catch common problems and retry before you see them, and failed renders are refunded.
- Thin margins on purpose. We'd rather make great video affordable for millions of small businesses than expensive for a few.
Hybrid filmmaking: where we think film is going
Traditional production spends most of its budget on things the audience never thinks about: sets, travel, lighting, wardrobe, crowds and visual effects. Pure text-to-video skips all of that, but it also takes away the director: the camera does what the model guesses, not what you planned.
We believe the future is hybrid. People keep the decisions only people can make: where the camera sits, how it moves, who crosses the frame and when, the timing of a performance and the rhythm of the cut. AI does the expensive rendering: the faces of your cast, their costumes, the location, the light and the grade. The result is a real film, directed by a person, at a fraction of the cost and time.
How Meo Studio serves hybrid filmmakers:
- Shoot the blocking. Film a rough greybox of the scene with stand-ins, on a phone or a real camera, or use a 3D previz.
- Add your references. Pictures of your cast, costumes, props and locations, so every shot keeps the same people and places.
- Draft, then finalise. Render low-cost drafts to check the shot, then the final in up to 4K. The model follows your greybox frame by frame, so your coverage and edit points stay where you put them.
- Choose your engine. A premium cinematic engine for the best result, or an open engine on our own GPUs for a lower price and more freedom.
- Plan with Meo Director. Turn a scene into a directing plan with shots, camera and performance notes before you spend a credit.
- Go long with Super Director. Packages for a short film, a longer short or a feature film, from the plan to the finished takes, in 1080p or 4K.
